Each of our Connection Nights aim to connect residents and neighbours through the sharing of different cultures, sparking discussion of topics of common concern, and improving mutual understanding and learning within our community.

Cooking Clubs

Share your favourite recipes with your neighbours in our community kitchen! Join us for a cooking workshop followed by a community potluck dinner. We encourage everyone to bring a dish to share or a small donation.

Mother’s Day Gift Workshop

The Mother’s Day Gift workshop gives kids the opportunity to create a beautiful gift for Mother’s Day, while their mothers can enjoy a couple hours to themselves. Shhhh, it’s a surprise, so no parents allowed in the classroom!
Held in the Wesbrook Community Centre Childminding Room, for children 5 to 10 years

Arts And Crafts Materials For Community Arts Night Workshop

Community Arts Night

Bring your own supplies and enjoy an evening of creativity and socializing on Fridays once a month. All levels welcome, all you need is a desire to explore creativity and to learn from each other. Children are welcome to join Community Art classes when accompanied by an adult.
Classes are only $2.00/family

Dorota is an active member and volunteer in the UNA and UBC community. She comes from an eclectic multinational background and enjoys helping people build connections in a multicultural community. She also has had a lifelong interest in art which she has explored in a variety of media.
