Income Tax

Everyone in B.C. has to fill in a tax form each year and send it to the federal government by April 30. Working people have income tax taken off their paycheques. The government may send you back some money because too much tax was taken off your paycheque. You may have to pay more because not enough tax was taken off.

The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)

Legislation to enact the harmonized sales tax (HST) has been passed by the Governments of Canada and British Columbia.
