New to the UNA? Welcome!

Congratulations and welcome to your new home! Moving to a new country / province / city is an exciting and confusing time. There is a lot to learn all at once. The UNA is here to help!

We invite you to visit the UNA office to obtain your Access Card, or come to one of our seasonal Newcomers’ Orientations or Newcomers Lecture Series held at our two Community Centres.

Up to date information on Newcomers Orientations and Newcomers Lecture Series can be found in the We Are Community Program Guide. Registration is usually required.

Newcomer Parents’ Session

This is a group for Chinese newcomer parents who reside in the UBC area and have children attending surrounding public schools. It aims to connect Chinese newcomer parents, provide support, and share school and community settlement resources. The parent group is held in Mandarin.

For registration contact Esaine Mo, Settlement Worker with VSB, at 778.228.8536.
