Get to Know the B.C. Healthcare System (Mandarin Session)

Connect with community members, share cultural experiences and discuss topics of common concern. Organized by the UNA Multicultural Committee and facilitated by invited speakers. Registration is required.
Join Lenny Zhou, Senior Operations Engineering Manager of BC Children’s Hospital, to get an overview of the public healthcare system in Canada and British Columbia, with an introduction to its history and evolvement. He will also cover the benefits and challenges of the current healthcare system, reasons for waitlist, and ways to better access healthcare services.

Speaker: Lenny Zhou, Senior Operations Engineering Manager, BC Children’s Hospital

Lenny holds a Master of Management degree in Operations Research, from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. He has more than 10 years of management experience at Fraser Health Authority and Provincial Health Service Authority. He has been involved actively with local Chinese media for education programs on healthcare system. Working with other non-profit organizations, he also organized humanitarian missions in rural China targeting patients from under-privileged families.
