DESCRIPTION:Join monthly seminars on healthy aging. This is a volunteer-led program. Registration is required. \nMay 21: Aging in a Digital World: Innovative Tech Use in Elder Care  \nJoin the UBC IDEA Lab for an engaging tech talk exploring how innovative technologies such as virtual reality and a student-developed app are being used to support older adults in health\, wellbeing\, and social connection. This session will highlight how these tools can create meaningful experiences\, promote engagement\, and help address real challenges faced in aging and care. Discover the journey behind this innovative health technology initiative\, including its challenges\, breakthroughs\, and the exciting potential it holds for improving the lives of older adults. \n  \nThe UBC IDEA Lab conducts intergenerational research that advances knowledge through mutual learning between students and older adults. By combining students’ energy and curiosity with older adults’ lived experience and wisdom\, the lab creates spaces where technology and ideas are shared. These encounters foster appreciation\, transform thinking and practice\, and drive innovation to build a more inclusive and compassionate world.
