DESCRIPTION:Grab your lawn chair and blankets and join us in the park for our annual family-friendly community concert showcasing local talent! Plus\, bring your well-loved clothing and other items to shake up your wardrobe with our sustainability swap\, and explore unique finds from our diverse vendors. \nAccepted items for the sustainability swap include: clothes (shirts\, sweaters\, pants\, dresses)\, shoes\, accessories\, books\, kitchenware\, stationery\, plants\, home décor\, etc. Please be considerate and only bring items that your neighbour would be happy to take home. Items should be as clean and presentable as possible! Items that are dirty\, too worn\, broken\, etc. will not be accepted for the swap. \nAs the summer sun sets\, come together and enjoy an evening of live music\, friends and family. From live music to sustainable fashion\, it’s a celebration for all ages! \n  \n5:00 – 6:00 pm | Community Showcase \n6:15 – 7:00 pm | John Michael Lind \n7:15 – 8:00 pm | RAIAAN \n  \nVancouver\, Canada-based alt-country singer-songwriter John Michael Lind delivers heart-to-heart connection with soaring vocals\, driving rhythm guitar\, and well-crafted tunes. Often compared to Blue Rodeo\, JML ignites venues across Canada and Europe\, entertaining crowds for over 10 years. From a wellspring of inspiration fed by John Prine\, Van Morrison\, Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle (and more!)\, JML crafts touching songs that reverberate in hearts long after the show. Covers of gems like Gordon Lightfoot’s “Canadian Railroad Trilogy\,” Bob Dylan’s “Lily\, Rosemary & the Jack of Hearts” and more make a great night of music! \nRAIAAN is an R&B and pop singer/songwriter originally from Kenya\, currently residing in Vancouver\, Canada. Influenced by crooners such as; Etta James and Louis Armstrong\, and storytellers like Eloise\, Maya Delilah\, and Bruno Major\, RAIAAN amalgamates his smooth vocals with emotional and catchy melodies for a modern sound that pays homage to his predecessors. After working alongside a bunch of amazing artists\, producers\, engineers\, and creators\, RAIAAN has just released his debut album in September of 2023\, while still producing and engineering for other upcoming artists on the side.
