DESCRIPTION:Grab your lawn chairs or blankets and come down to the park for this family-friendly community concert and join the UNA Community Engagement Advisory Committee (CEAC) for games and a barbecue! All ages are welcome! \n  \n5:00 – 6:00 pm | Community Showcase \n6:15 – 7:00 pm | Shawn Bullshields \n7:15 – 8:00 pm | Sara Magal Trio \n  \nShawn Bullshields is a member of the Blackfoot Nation and was born and raised in Southern Alberta. He is a singer and guitarist with a natural charisma that combines a repertoire of songs from the genres of pop\, blues\, country and folk. He commands instant attention because his masterful singing voice conveys the truth\, beauty and deep meaning within each song\, expressed with the full weight of his personal life experiences. \n  \nSara Magal is a Brazilian singer and songwriter living in Vancouver BC. Introspective yet playful\, her music reflects her love for bossa nova\, samba\, jazz and afro rhythms.  Creating her uniqueness\, singing mostly in Portuguese\, her music connects cultures and gives new possibilities for other ways of listening. In 2023\, Sara started a trio with the talented Vicente Regis (bass and acoustic guitar) and Tiago Cavalcanti (drums and percussion). \n  \nClick here to sign up for updates.
