DESCRIPTION:Do you live in the UBC neighbourhoods and want to get engaged in climate action? Join the Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan’s Emerging Directions Workshop! \nClimate change is affecting the way we live and the future of our planet. Join Campus + Community Planning and UNA staff for a two-hour workshop to learn about and provide feedback on the Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan’s emerging directions. \nThe Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan builds on the 2013 Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP)\, and will provide policy directions\, goals\, targets and actions in key climate action areas including buildings\, transportation\, waste and materials\, neighbourhood infrastructure\, ecology\, and climate emergency preparedness. \nTogether\, we will explore how we can plan for healthy\, sustainable\, and resilient communities. Dinner and on-site childcare will be provided and UBC students will receive a giftcard for their participation. Space is limited.
