DESCRIPTION:Learn about how parents and other caregivers can support children’s emotional well-being in the transition back to school. \nThe start of this school year can be a stressful time for many families. Going back to a changed school environment\, after spending a lot more time at home and apart from others\, may make this year’s back-to-school transition more challenging than previous years. Guided by research in social and emotional development\, this online workshop offers caregivers useful information and practical strategies for supporting their own and their children’s emotional well-being during this period of change. \nAbout the Facilitator \nAngela Low is a specialist in emotional intelligence and child development\, dedicated to bringing social and emotional learning (SEL) to the forefront of communities that support children\, youth and their families. Angela has been developing educational resources and facilitating workshops on emotional intelligence for 12 years in China and Canada.
