DESCRIPTION:In June 2019\, look out for a new exhibition\, “A Queer Century\, 1869-1969\,” which will open officially for the Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences\, which will be held at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver on the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people. Hosted by UBC Rare Books and Special Collections (RBSC) and presented by the Queer Collections Project\, the exhibition will mark two important anniversaries: the emergence of homosexuality as a named concept in Germany in 1868/69 and the fiftieth anniversary of its decriminalization in Canada in 1969.\nJune 31 marks the final day of this exhibition.
