Indigenous storyteller Dallas Yellowfly will use positive humour\, high energy performance and audience participation\, to make the performance memorable and educational. The presentation focuses on the importance of having respect for the environment\, Indigenous oral traditions and the power of humour in storytelling. This presentation is suitable for kindergarten-aged children and up.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed to improve children’s cycling skills. This 2.5-hour fun and interactive workshop will start in the classroom where students will be introduced to the benefits of cycling and how to ride safely by learning fundamental laws\, behaviors and communication. Then\, in an off-road area\, students will ride through drills and practice gearing\, stopping\, signalling and improving control. Participants will receive on-bike safety and skills instruction in the street. Participants will need to have basic biking experience and they need to bring their own bike and helmet!

DESCRIPTION:All residents living in the UNA are invited to attend a virtual town hall to participate in a UNA-moderated discussion about UBC’s Campus Vision 2050 (a public planning process that will shape land use in the Vancouver campus). We want to hear from you! Please join us to share your views about what is most important for the future of land development in your neighbourhoods. All residents are welcome to participate\, including families and children. \nThe UNA is actively working with UBC to ensure that the needs of the community are represented in UBC’s Campus Vision 2050 plan. During the pandemic\, the following COVID-19 safety precautions will be observed during in-person meetings (subject to any changes in Provincial Health Orders or UNA policy): \n\nProof of vaccination is not required as Board meetings are classified under essential services.\nBoard and staff are considered workers while seated at the Board and staff tables\, and will not be required to wear masks while seated at their respective tables. Board and staff will be seated separately and socially distanced from the attending public.\nMasks will be required for non-Board/staff attending the meeting.\nIf there are any delegations\, they will be able to remove their masks while speaking at the podium.\n\nMaterials for the meetings are published on the website: \n\n\n\nMeeting Package: Provided before each open Board meeting\nMeeting Minutes: Approved by the Board at the following Board meeting\n\n\n\nResidents are invited to attend all open sessions.
