It is a religious Indian festival that is celebrated to worship Goddess Holika. \nDETAILS \n\nNo alcohol served at event\n2 food trucks with valid food permits\nPower-boosted sound system will be used\nOn-site first aid and ambulance\nColor dye will be smeared on event participants – no throwing of color dye\nThird party security will work inside event and TEF 3\, UBC Campus Security and RCMP to work outside event space.\nSound check after 9:00am\nFenced event space\nSound levels will be monitored throughout the event\n\nROAD CLOSURE \nAgronomy Road – Engineering Lane to lane east of West Mall and Thunderbird Crescent @ Thunderbird (lane into Thunderbird Commons) from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm

DESCRIPTION:As we approach the spring season\, we are offering a Seniors’ Open House on March 31st from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Wesbrook Community Centre. This is going to be a fun-packed day to showcase some of our most popular seniors’ programs\, all for free! \nThe day will start at 10:00 AM with a welcome\, introduction to some of our volunteers\, instructors\, and staff\, and an opportunity to socialize with your fellow community members. \nFrom 11:15am – 12:15pm\, the following programs will run: \nSeniors’ Gym – West side of the Gymnasium\nTable Tennis for Seniors – East side of the Gymnasium\nWalk and Talk – Meet in the Lounge of Wesbrook Community Centre\, then go to Pacific Spirit Park\nOsteofit with Angie – Multipurpose Room\, 2nd Floor\nMahjong – Youth and Seniors Center\nSong Circle – Art Room \nRegistration for these events is encouraged using the links above\, as there is limited space\, but drop-ins can be facilitated on the event day with the help of UNA staff. \nAt 12:15 PM\, there will be a lunch\, some closing statements\, and more opportunities to socialize. \nAdditionally\, all seniors will have free access to the Wesbrook fitness center from 10:00 AM to 9:45 PM!
