June 26, 2020 COVID-19, News, Safety

The UNA is re-opening the Wesbrook Community Centre splash pad this Saturday, June 27. Please note that the UNA will not be sanitizing this facility on a regular basis, so please use with caution.

We encourage users to comply with public health orders and guidelines on safety and physical distancing. We ask everyone to observe the reminders on the UNA signs and to use the outdoor facilities responsibly by:

  • Maintaining a 2-metre distance between yourself and others who are not in your household,
  • Washing or sanitizing your hands frequently,
  • Disinfecting personal equipment before and after use,
  • Refraining from sharing equipment,
  • Staying home if you feel sick

The Wesbrook Community Centre and the Old Barn Community Centre remain closed to the public, however, registration for a limited number of summer camps and fitness programs is now on place.

The UNA is approaching re-opening in a safe and thoughtful way that is in alignment with the Provincial Government’s B.C. Restart Plan, and in consultation with UBC and the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA).
