Important Note: The dates in this article were adjusted due to a project delay caused by weather. The project was completed as of October 29, 2020.

On-street parking will be temporarily suspended on Ross Drive, Gray Ave and Birney Road from October 26 to October 29, 2020.

“No Parking” Signage will be installed along Ross Drive, Gray Ave, and Birney Road. Failure to obey on street parking restrictions will result in a parking violation.

Project Schedule:

  • Thursday, Oct. 22 & Friday, Oct. 23: Profile milling and manhole raising
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27: Base repair
  • N/A Weather Dependent: Paving top lift at Birney Ave. and Gray Ave.
  • N/A Weather Dependent: Paving top lift at Ross Drive (South of Birney) & (North of Birney)

The repaving project will temporarily affect access to and from the underground parking of the buildings in the vicinity, it is advised that residents in nearby areas plan ahead of the October 28 and 29 paving project accordingly.

There will be temporary road closures to and from specific underground parking for up to 3 hours on the following days:

Wednesday, October 28Birney Ave. and Gray Ave.

  • Ultima, Sail 1 and Sail 2 – “No parking” signage will be setup 48 Hours ahead of the project. Residents from these buildings are recommended to park their vehicles on Gray Ave., east of Wesbrook Mall.

Thursday, October 29 – Ross Drive (South of Birney) & (North of Birney

  • Virtuous, Noble House, Magnolia House, and Pine House – “No parking” signage will be setup 48 Hours ahead of the project. Residents from the above buildings are recommended to park their vehicles along Wesbrook Mall south of Ross Drive.
  • Prodigy, and Cypress House – “No parking” signage will be setup 48 Hours ahead of the project. Residents from Prodigy are recommended to park their vehicles on Wesbrook Mall or along Gray Ave., east of Wesbrook Mall.
  • Georgia Point and Oakwood – “No parking” signage will be setup 48 Hours ahead of the project. Residents from Georgia and Oakwood are recommended to park their vehicles on Birney Ave and Webber Lane.

Note: In order to address on street parking capacity, the UNA has made an arrangement with UBC Parking, that our resident’s vehicles can also park in UBC on street parking stalls south of Nobel Softball Field on October 28 and 29.
