The UNA opened the splash pad located beside the Wesbrook Community Centre on Monday, May 31. Please note that the UNA will not be sanitizing around the splash pad area on a regular basis, so please use with caution.

We encourage users to comply with Public Health Orders and guidelines on safety and physical distancing. We ask everyone to observe the reminders on the UNA signs and to use the outdoor facility responsibly by:

  • Maintaining a two-metre distance between yourself and others who are not in your household,
  • Washing or sanitizing your hands frequently,
  • Disinfecting personal equipment before and after use,
  • Refraining from sharing equipment,
  • Staying home if you feel sick
  • The Wesbrook Community Centre and the Old Barn Community Centre remain partially closed to the public.

The UNA is approaching the re-opening of this facility in a safe and thoughtful way that is in alignment with the latest Provincial Government’s B.C. Restart Plan, and in consultation with UBC and the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA).
