March 16, 2020 COVID-19, News, Public Service

(Effective March 16 until further notice)

At this time, both UNA community centres (Wesbrook Community Centre and the Old Barn Community Centre) will be closed starting 4 p.m., March 16 until further notice. The UNA main office on 5923 Berton Avenue will be closed starting March 17. Parking permit renewals are suspended as well and parking permits that will expire on March 30 will be valid until further notice. On March 15, we announced that we are cancelling spring camps, winter programs, room bookings and drop-in programs. A detailed list of all closures and suspended services is below.

Please note that corresponding fees or pro-rated fees will be refunded directly or credited to your account. Refunds may take 5-10 business days to reflect.

The UNA Board of Directors meeting scheduled for March 17 will be held remotely. The community is invited to tune into the live stream linked on the UNA website. UNA staff who are able to do their work remotely will be transitioned to work from home starting March 17 and continue to be available through email.

While the B.C. Ministry of Health maintains that the risk to British Columbians remains low, we are putting in place these precautions to limit close contact with others. Please bear with us as we take further measures to ensure our community’s safety.
