The Provincial Health Officer is tightening the enforcement of medical exemptions for activities that require participants to show their Proof of Vaccination.

According to the Provincial Health Officer, the reasons outlined in theĀ deferrals to COVID-19 vaccination table are the only valid reasons for a COVID-19 exemption or deferral. Legitimate exemption or deferral letters must state one of these valid reasons.

To date, no exemptions have been issued for anyone in the B.C.

For now, anyone who comes to any UNA facility to participate in activities or services that require a Proof of Vaccination will need to present their Proof of Vaccination. This may change in the coming weeks as health authorities begin issuing exemptions or deferral letters.
