Create a UNA Account

If you don’t have one yet, making a UNA Account is a simple process. We only need your name, email, phone and birthday to get you started.

Process

Getting your UNA Card has never been easier. Typically, we will have your card ready for pickup within 2 business days.

  • Step 1: Log in to your UNA Account

    Enter your email and password to access your UNA Account.

    If you don’t yet have an account, visit myuna.ca/una-account to learn more.

  • Step 2: Upload your Proof of Residency Documents

    First, navigate to the “UNA Account” menu item and select “Application/Renewal Process” from the drop down.

    From there, you can upload your documents as a part of the application process.

    • Proof of Identity – This document must be a piece of government issued photo identification. Please include your full name in the file name of your proof of identity documents (Example: John.Smith.ID.jpg)
    • Proof of Residency – This document is required if your government issued photo identification does not include your current address. Please include your full name in the file name of your proof of residency documents (Example: John.Smith.Lease.jpg)
  • Step 3: Confirmation

    Our team will review your application and confirm when your card is printed and ready for pickup at the Wesbrook Community Centre.

  • Step 4: Pick up your UNA Card

    Once you have received your confirmation email, you can pick up your card from the front desk at Wesbrook Community Centre.

  • What are the eligibility requirements?

    To qualify for a UNA Card, you must live in one of the following UBC neighbourhoods or buildings:

    UBC Neighbourhoods

    • Wesbrook Place
    • Hampton Place
    • Hawthorn Place
    • East Campus
    • Chancellor Place

    UBC Buildings

    • Central Building
    • Focal Building
  • What if I am not eligible?

    You are still a valuable part of our wider community, and you are still welcome you to use our services.

    If you would like to purchase a fitness or program passes, we can give you a Guest Card that will make checking in easier at UNA facilities.

  • What is a Society Membership?

    Having a UNA Card does not automatically make you a UNA Society Member, which is the requirement for participation in UNA governance processes.

    To become a UNA Society Member, select the UNA Society Membership option when applying for your UNA Card. If you are unsure of your membership status, you can see it on your UNA Account, or you can contact us for assistance.
