Event Advisory: BMO Vancouver Marathon

The BMO Vancouver Marathon will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to the nature of the event, road closures will be in place around UBC from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please review the below map for road closures around campus during the following times:

• 8:30-10:45 a.m.: W. 16th Ave. CLOSED from Imperial Dr. to Blanca St.
• 8:30-10:45 a.m.: SW. Marine Dr. westbound lanes CLOSED to Wesbrook Mall
• 8:45-11 a.m.: Blanca St. CLOSED from W. 16th Ave to W. 10th Ave.
• 8:45-11:30 a.m.: NW/SW. Marine Dr. northbound lanes CLOSED from Chancellor Blvd. to W. 16th Ave.
• 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: NW. Marine Dr. CLOSED from Chancellor Blvd. to W. 4th Ave.

Note for residents and visitors of Wesbrook Place:

From approximately 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be NO crossing on W. 16th Ave. Residents south of W. 16th Ave. can exit via Wesbrook Mall to SW. Marine Dr. but will not be able to return until after 11 a.m. at the earliest. Individuals returning to campus around 11 a.m. via University Blvd. may be redirected to cross over W. 16th Ave. This would be faster than waiting for W. 16th Ave. to fully open again for southbound and westbound traffic.
