Road Advisory: Traffic Changes for Apple Festival 2023

UBC Botanical Gardens will be hosting their annual Apple Festival on October 14 & 15, 2023. This is a large annual event expecting visitors from across the Lower Mainland to UBC.

To manage pedestrians, some road and lane closures will be in place around the Botanical Garden, traffic control will be in place at Stadium Road/SW Marine Drive between 16th Avenue and Agronomy Road. SW Marine Drive two lanes, two way will be reduced to one lane north and south bound with temporary traffic delays at Stadium Road/SW Marine Drive to allow pedestrians to cross with TCP assistance.

Parking on SW Marine Drive will not be permitted on either the west or east side, north and south of the Stadium intersection.

Delineators will be positioned against the curb portion of the shoulder as a deterrent to potential parking violators.

Stadium Road from West Mall to SW Marine Drive will be closed.

A Shuttle service will also be provided from Botanical Gardens to UBC parkades. The traffic changes will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.
