We are implementing changes in our yoga program that might affect you.

In response to the current service needs of our community, the Wesbrook Community Centre yoga program is changing from a drop-in studio model to a registered class model.

This affects people who have purchased, or wish to purchase monthly yoga passes, yearly yoga passes, 10- and 20-class passes.

In the next few months, we will be phasing out the sale of these passes. The schedule is as follows:

  • February 1, 2019: Last day of selling one month passes and 20-class passes.
  • March 1, 2019: Last day of selling 10-class passes.
  • March 4, 2019: Online registration opens for registered classes
  • March 5, 2019: In-person registration opens for registered classes
  • March 31, 2019: Last day of the studio model. All unused class passes will be prorated and refunded.
  • April 1, 2019: Start of the registration-based model.

Gentle & Relaxing

The Gentle & Relaxing classes are suitable for beginners and those who enjoy the therapeutic aspects of yoga. Beginners will enjoy these classes because they focus strongly on the foundations of physical alignment and breathing techniques. Those looking for therapeutic benefits will find that moving with awareness leaves their bodies feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Stretch & Flex

The Stretch & Flex classes are suitable for people who have practiced some yoga and are interested in exploring more of the postures and breathing techniques. Specific instructions will be given to guide students through the elements of an intermediate experience.  Longer holds and linking postures together will get your blood flowing, helping the mind become more focused in the present moment.

Get Fit & Sweat

The Get Fit & Sweat classes will push you to your limits. They are loud, hard work, and a lot of fun! Get motivated by what your body can accomplish and let the sweat be your trophy.
