Neighbours Day is back! Join the UNA for our signature, end-of-summer celebration – an all-ages gathering that brings neighbours together for an unforgettable day of music, culture, food, and fun. This free annual event is your chance to connect with community, enjoy vibrant performances, shop local, and soak up the last golden days of the season.

What to Expect

  • Main Stage: A vibrant mix of multicultural performances and local talent
  • Community Market: Unique handmade goods, local produce, and artisan finds
  • Cultural Showcase: Storytelling, dance, and traditions from around the world
  • Fun Zone: Bouncy castles, games, and hands-on activities for kids and families
  • Food Trucks: A global food tour on wheels
  • Roaming Performers: Surprise acts popping up throughout the day

Admission is FREE! Bring your friends, a picnic blanket, and cash for the market!

Please note that amplified music will be played at the event. We’ve taken proactive steps to ensure that sound levels remain respectful and within reasonable limits. A sound check will be conducted in advance, and volume caps will be placed on the equipment. Our event coordinator will also actively monitor noise levels throughout the event using a decibel-measuring tool. Artist Showcase

  • ROOTS Peruvian Folk Dance (2:00-2:30 p.m.)

    ROOTS is a Peruvian folk-dance ensembled founded in New Westminster in 2017 under the direction of Jessica Roca Muncaster dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich traditions of Peru through captivating performances and cultural exchange within the communities of British Columbia.

    Rooted in Peru’s diverse cultural tapestry, our dance group showcases the captivating beauty and rhythmic expressions of traditional Peruvian folklore from the three regions, the Coast, the Andean and the Amazon. with our authentic performances.

    As ambassadors of Peruvian culture, Roots celebrates diversity sharing the rich traditions of Peruvian folklore with people of all ages and backgrounds and inspiring the next generation of artists. With every performance, we strive to transport audiences to the heart of Peru, mesmerizing them with enchanting rhythms, breathtaking costumes, and captivating stories that have been passed down through generations.”

  • Non Sweet (2:30-3:00 p.m.)

    Non Sweet (ノン・スイート)is a Japanese-pop music group local to Vancouver, that aims to empower, inspire and bring joy to people all over the world.

    Heavily influenced by the Japanese idol culture, Non Sweet delivers an engaging musical experience combining live vocals and dance. All of their original music is crafted in collaboration with their sound producer in Japan, while the members take creative lead on lyrics, choreography and concept for each release. Their recent first album, Wake Up!, has been met with enthusiasm, showcasing the group’s versatility and artistic growth.

    Non Sweet has graced stages at various music festivals and cultural events across Canada, the U.S., and Japan, including Khatsahlano Street Party, Sakura Days Japan Fair and Anime Expo. Dedicated to spreading idol culture worldwide, they continually seek new opportunities to connect with global audiences.

  • Gwyn Glover (3:15-3:45 p.m.)

    Gwyn is a 14-year-old, hometown talent from UBC with music in her soul. She loves singing, spending time with friends, and catching concerts whenever she can. Inspired by artists like Wild Rivers, Sam Roberts Band, Lizzie McAlpine, and Taylor Swift, Gwyn brings that same spark to her own performances. She’s not just a fan of live music, she creates it too, as a member of the up-and-coming band Losing Momentum.

  • HEADLINER: Bealby Point (4:00-5:00 p.m.)

    Vancouver trio Bealby Point writes indie rock songs like it’s still cool, drawing inspiration from modern acts including Spacey Jane, Teenage Dads, and Post Animal. The band brings a stadium-sized energy to both the studio and the stage.

    Be sure to keep an eye out for their newest single “Double Disco” coming out later this month, as well as their new single “Better Off Eventually” that came out earlier this year.
