October 8, 2025 News

As part of the Stanley Park Water Supply Tunnel project, Metro Vancouver will be making temporary water system adjustments beginning October 16, 2025.

During this work, there will be no interruption to drinking water service. However, some residents may notice occasional cloudiness or slight discolouration in their water for a few days, most likely in October or November 2025. This work will continue through Spring 2026 and similar occurrences may happen again during this period. Any cloudiness should clear on its own within a few days.

Drinking water remains safe for use and consumption at all times. Note that UBC monitors and tests their water supply weekly (e.g., chlorine residual, turbidity, and microbiology parameters) and will continue to do so throughout and after the project.
