April 16: Connecting with Nature: Healthy Aging in the Outdoors
Learn how spending time outdoors and connecting with nature can improve health and well-being across the lifespan, with a special focus on outdoor activities for people living with memory loss. This seminar will highlight recent research on the benefits of nature and include an interactive workshop where participants can discuss and explore ideas for meaningful outdoor activities.
UBC’s Centre for Research on Personhood in Dementia (CRPiD) is dedicated to advancing research that supports individuals living with dementia and fosters stronger communities. Dementia in the Outdoors is a CIHR funded research project that aims to better understand how people living with memory loss benefit from spending time outdoors and how we can further develop inclusive outdoor programming.
