October 23, 2026 News

The UNA will conduct scheduled tree removals in Hampton Place and Wesbrook Place beginning Wednesday, October 28, 2026, following recent arborist assessments that identified potential safety risks.

The following trees have been identified for removal:

  • Hampton Place: Ash tree (N0903) outside Pemberley, showing signs of potential root failure.
  • Wesbrook Place: Freeman Maple (N1975) outside Eton, showing signs of stem failure.

These removals are necessary to ensure public safety and protect surrounding infrastructure.

What to Expect

Work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Residents can expect noise from equipment, temporary sidewalk closures with designated detours, and parking restrictions in clearly marked work zones.

For Hampton Place: As the tree is located along an active school route, crews will keep the sidewalk open during peak student travel times (8:30–9:15 a.m. and 2:45–3:30 p.m.). Outside these hours, the adjacent sidewalk will be closed with a safe detour in place.

The UNA apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates residents’ patience and understanding while this important safety work is completed.
