Axis Playground Equipment Removal and Renewal

The UNA is removing the playground equipment at the Axis playground in Chancellor Place following a recent safety assessment that found structural deterioration and surface wear that no longer meet current safety standards.

Removal and site-clearing work is underway and is expected to continue through late August and into early September. Once the work is complete, the area will be maintained as a safe, open green space while planning for the future playground takes place.

This fall, the UNA will invite residents to help shape what comes next. Community feedback will help inform the future play space, including preferred play features, equipment types and the ages the playground should serve.

More information about the project and opportunities to participate in the community engagement process will be shared in the coming weeks.
