On February 15, 2022, the Provincial Health Officer announced that indoor and outdoor gathering restrictions will be lifted effective at 11:59 p.m., February 16.

Remaining in place are the mask mandate for indoor public spaces, proof of vaccination and COVID-19 safety plans.

Starting Thursday, February 17, 2022, gathering restrictions on the following UNA services will be lifted:

  • Recreation programs, fitness, aquatics, rinks, tournaments: To return to full capacity, no physical distancing, no administrative barriers, no spectator restrictions. Participants/users are still required to wear masks and present their proof of vaccination.
  • Indoor organized gatherings (receptions, parties): To return to full capacity, no requirement to remain seated or maintain physical distance and all may participate in dancing. Participants are still required to wear masks and present their proof of vaccination.
  • Indoor ticketed seated events (sports, theatre): To return to full capacity, no requirement to remain seated. Participants are still required to wear masks and present their proof of vaccination.
  • Outdoor organized gatherings: To return to full capacity.

The Province will be re-evaluating the requirements for proof of vaccination and masks on March 15 (prior to Spring Break) and April 12 (prior to Easter).
