UBC Draft Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan – CIRS BC Hydro Theatre Workshop

March 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Do you live in the UBC neighbourhoods and want to get engaged in climate action? Join a workshop to share your feedback on the draft Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan!

Join Campus + Community Planning for a two-hour workshop to learn about and provide feedback on the draft Neighbourhood Climate Action Plan (NCAP). We will be sharing detailed actions to achieving a net-zero and climate resilient community. We want to know, did we get it right? Are we missing anything? And what support do you need to make changes in your daily life?

The NCAP builds on the 2013 Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP), and will provide policy directions, goals, targets and actions in key climate action areas including buildings, transportation, waste and materials, neighbourhood infrastructure, ecology, and climate emergency preparedness. The NCAP will help inform future Neighbourhood Plans and amendments to shape how UBC’s Land Use Plan is implemented, as well as other initiatives like transportation and zero waste planning.

Together, let’s explore how we can plan for healthy, sustainable, and resilient communities!

Dinner and childcare will be provided! Students will also be receiving a $50 gift card as a token of appreciation.
