New Shade Structure Coming to Nobel Playground

Installation of a new shade structure at Nobel Playground will begin the week of September 22 and is expected to be completed by the last week of October.

The playground will be closed to the public for the duration of construction. Work will take place Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During work hours, one pedestrian pathway near the playground will be closed. A secondary pathway will remain open at all times, with detour signage in place to help pedestrians navigate the area.

Construction Schedule

• Week 1: Site Preparation 
  Beginning September 22, crews will complete ground removal and prepare the site for construction. This work is expected to have a higher level of impact.
• Week 2: Concrete Forming 
  Crews will prepare the concrete forms, with work primarily completed using hand tools. Impacts are expected to be minimal.
• Week 3: Concrete Curing
  The site will remain idle while the concrete foundation cures. No construction impacts are expected during this period.
• Weeks 4 and 5: Shade Structure Installation 
  The new shade structure will be delivered and installed. This phase is expected to have a higher level of construction activity.
