The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Transit has released a new schedule for the major asphalt repaving project at the 16th Avenue and Wesbrook Mall roundabout. Drivers should plan ahead as the roundabout at W. 16th Avenue and Wesbrook Mall will be fully closed overnight during the following periods for roadwork:

  • Thursday, August 27, 8 p.m. to Friday, August 28, 5 a.m.
  • Friday, August 28, 8 p.m. to Saturday, August 29, 5 a.m.

The roundabout will be open to traffic during the day on Friday, August 28, between the two overnight closures and is expected to return to normal operation on Saturday morning. During work hours, the intersection will be closed to all traffic. Traffic control personnel will be on site, and drivers will be directed to use alternate routes.

Residents living nearby should expect construction noise during the evening as crews complete the work.

Please note that this project is weather-dependent and may be canceled or rescheduled if rainfall is forecasted.
