The UNA is excited to launch the UNA Community Toy Box, a new initiative designed to encourage sharing, sustainability, and outdoor play within our community.

Located at the UNA Splash Pad and at Nobel Park, the Community Toy Boxes provide a simple way for families to borrow and share gently used toys for everyone to enjoy. Whether it’s water toys, sand toys, balls, or frisbees, the goal is to make play more enjoyable while giving toys a second life instead of sending them to landfill.

The initiative is part of the UNA’s ongoing commitment to building a more sustainable and connected community. Led by our team at the Green Depot, Toy Boxes are stocked with donated toys and recreational items collected through community donations. The items are inspected and cleaned before they are placed in the Toy Boxes. By sharing resources with neighbours, residents can help reduce waste, promote reuse, and create more opportunities for children and families to enjoy our shared public spaces together.

We encourage everyone to help keep the Toy Boxes clean, organized, and filled with items that are safe and suitable for shared outdoor use. Residents can contribute clean, gently used outdoor toys by dropping them off at the Green Depot.

Small actions can make a big difference. Together, we can create a more sustainable community.
