UNA Celebrates 25 Years of Community
By UNA
This year, the University Neighbourhoods Association is celebrating 25 years of serving and representing the University Neighbourhoods.
Established in 2001, the UNA has grown alongside the community it serves. What began as a new model for delivering municipal-like services and representing residents at UBC has evolved over the past quarter century as the University Neighbourhoods have grown and changed.
To mark this milestone, we’ve created a special 25th Anniversary video and webpage that look back at the UNA’s history, the evolution of the Neighbours Agreement, and the programs and initiatives that have become part of everyday life in the University Neighbourhoods.
Most importantly, this anniversary celebrates the people who have shaped the UNA over the past 25 years: residents, volunteers, Board members, staff and community partners.
We also want to hear from you. If you have photos, stories or memories of UNA programs, events, services or community life over the years, send them to communications@myuna.ca and help us tell our shared story.
