Introducing the UNA Access Card

The UNA Community Services Card is getting an upgrade. Introducing the new UNA Access Card – a photo ID card for UNA residents to access many cultural and recreation facilities on and off UBC point grey campus.

The UNA Access Card is now available at:

  • the UNA office (202-5923 Berton Ave.) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; or
  • the Old Barn Community Centre (6308 Thunderbird Blvd.) 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Sunday.

Proof of residency is required at time of application. Click here to download the application form.

UNA Proposed Changes to Board Sub-Committees

The UNA Governance Standing Committee is inviting residents to comment on a proposed model for the structure of UNA volunteer sub-committees before the UNA Board of Directors considers the proposal. Please send your comments to reception@myuna.ca.

UNA Communication Survey Results

The UNA invites residents to read the Communication Strategy Research Summary Report and comment on the findings of the survey that was conducted in 2014. Residents were asked to share their thoughts on information priorities and how they would like to be kept informed about UNA projects, programs and services.  These will be used to improve communication and community engagement. Metro Vancouver’s Organics Disposal Ban

Starting January 1, 2015, it is illegal to put food scraps and organic waste in your garbage bin. You should put all your food scraps, plate scrapings and food-soiled paper in your Compost Bin. Find out more.

Road Closure and Construction on UBC Campus

A Road Closures and Construction Information map is now available to help our UBC community better navigate the Vancouver campus. It shows where and when roads will be closed on campus, as well as construction site locations, and will be updated weekly.

Municipal Comparison Study

The UNA Board of Directors engaged Fletcher and Company to undertake a project on comparing the roles, responsibilities and compensation of eight municipalities / local governments similar in size to the UNA to the roles, responsibilities and compensation of elected UNA directors. Binning – West 16th Ave. Corridor Improvements

The extension of Binning Road is OPEN! The first phase of improvements on 16th Avenue are complete. People can now use the Binning Road extension to exit Wesbrook Village to head towards Vancouver. Read more.
