Introducing the UNA Access Card

The UNA Community Services Card is getting an upgrade. Introducing the new UNA Access Card – a photo ID card for UNA residents to access many cultural and recreation facilities on and off UBC point grey campus.

The current Community Services Card will expire on July 31, 2014. The UNA office will start issuing the UNA Access Card as of May 5, 2014 at the UNA office (202-5923 Berton Ave.) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Purchase Your 2014 Parking Permits

2013-14 Parking Permits and Decals have now expired. Warning notices have been issued to vehicles in violation and the Commissionaires have been directed to begin towing vehicles with expired permits/decals. Please renew your parking permit at the UNA office. Please note the new parking fee schedule for Hawthorn Place and Wesbrook Place, effective April 1, 2014.

UTown@UBC Spring 2014 Community Grants Awarded

The UTown@UBC Community Grant Selection Committee has awarded 11 grants totalling $7200 to campus residents for projects including a forum theatre, a charity craft club, and a seniors meet and greet. A record number of Community Grant applications were submitted this cycle. Learn more about the community grants recipients.

Site Preparation for the new Wesbrook Community Centre

The UNA is excited to announce site preparation for the new Wesbrook Community Centre will begin shortly!

Selective tree removal on the site is scheduled Dec 16 to Jan 1. The preservation of existing trees and the local re-use of materials from felled trees continues to be important in the development of the Community Centre. All removals were approved as part of the Development Permit application and September 2012 public consultation. Read more.

New Shuttle Route for UBC

As of December 16, 2013, two new community shuttle routes will replace the C20 and C22 at UBC. Read more.

Welcome

The University Neighbourhoods Association was established in 2002 to promote the creation of a vibrant and sustainable community for the residents of UBC’s residential neighbourhoods. Today, approximately 9,000 residents live in five UNA neighbourhoods including Hampton Place, Hawthorn Place, Chancellor Place, East Campus, and – our newest neighbourhood – Wesbrook Place.
